OUR MISSION Provide timely, historically accurate, beautifully painted, affordable miniatures and accessories for your gaming interests, and to promote the war-gaming hobby for future generations. Mostly we build relationships and hope to include YOU in our circle of gaming enthusiasts! OUR ORIGINS Many years ago before computers and video games, we at Change of Command began our gaming odyssey at the Toy Soldier in Bath, Maine. Our retail shop was dedicated to the promotion of historical war-games. Duringour years as the Toy Soldier we ran regularly scheduled games, developed innumerable rules sets, ran two conventions per year, and associated with many interesting and well informed people who all shared a love of history. As time progressed we branched out to include Sci-Fi&Fantasy gamesthat reached out to kids and teenagers – thus promoting the hobby with new blood. As a retail shop we sold everything from miniatures and games to cards and paint. Like many gamers we painted our own armies, built our own buildings and terrain from scratch, and created game-boards and accessories on which to play. After more than twenty years as the Toy Soldier, and an ever increasing request for paint jobs, we built a studio, moved the business, and concentrated our efforts on painting miniatures, building terrain, and developing new rules sets. We now paint and build accessories full time and have moved to Georgia where we no longer shovel 120 inches of snow per year!
OUR PERSONNEL We have two full time painters – Peter Rice and Andy Alley, a part time terrain maker – Andy Niven. Combined, we have well over 125 years of experience, knowledge, and dedication to the art of gaming. Our research library is extensive and well used. In concert with our experience, this allows us to produce accurate uniforms for your chosen order of battle. CONTACT INFORMATION for CHANGE OF COMMAND:
